Security can explicitly be referred to as the wealth of a nation. A country without adequate security will troll behind others economically. No wonder our prestigious United States of America, being the world’s most powerful country, will never joke with its citizens’ security. Her security even extends to other countries across the globe. It is no longer a new thing that lives, and properties are perishing daily due to negligence and carelessness of individuals, organizations, and countries at large. Investors are scared of losses and debts that may arise when the bad eggs confiscate their goods in the community. Security is the inevitable entity in the country as it contributes immensely to economic growth. In this regard, no country will ever joke without the security of its citizens’ lives and properties. Part of the measures put in place by the National government to curb insecurities is the establishment of some national security agents. Also, even from one organization to another, security agents are established and put in place to compensate for the national securities’ effort at state and local levels. 

 Different groups and organizations, both established by private and government, are responsible for the security of lives. Some security organizations include the Police, Army, the Air force, the Navy, Central Intelligent Agency, SWAP, Royal guides, Secrete Service, Crime alert, local hunters, e.t.c. All these secrete agents’ job is to protect the citizens’ lives and properties though they function in different capabilities and specializations. 

What Does Secure Inspector Do?

 A security Inspector is a professional, skilled and intellectual individual who supervises and inspects a specified security organization or agent’s activities. This implies that every security agent has a particular Inspector that monitors their activities. A security Inspector, e.g., a police inspector, ensures that all security agencies in their domain are responsibly performing all security duties assigned to them. A private firm can also hire an experienced security Inspector to coordinate the security of such a firm.  Their salary structures depend on the role, ranks, types of security agents, and academic qualifications. It should also be noted that skill, strength, perseverance, experience, and sometimes academic qualifications are key factors for joining a security agent. 

In the United state of America, the following security agencies are available for the security of life and properties of its citizens.

  •  Secret Service:  The secrete Service is a top security agent in the state. One special attribute about them is their level of intelligence, tolerance, integrity, and discipline. They are always faithful and responsible for the security of the USA president and other top government officials.  They are special and tactically trained for any combat that can pose a threat to the president’s life.

  • Central Intelligent Agency(CIA): They are specially trained agents that also played a key role in securing their territory (USA). They function by sourcing information about the hideout of the hoodlums and bad eggs in the country. They can also involve in apprehending an already approved suspect when necessary. They are also trained in the use of tools and self-defense and are always ready for combat. 

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI): They are also special agents in the aspect of Investigation. They are specially trained to investigate critical and difficult criminal cases to detect the truth of the matter. They help in investigating and apprehending cunning and smart criminals in the country. 

  • The Police: The police can often be regarded as civil security. They operate within the country and ensures that laws and order are strictly enforced in the country. The arrest and prosecute any law offenders. They also protect the citizens against any criminal activities. Within the police are the Special unit called SWART in the USA. They are specially trained to combat criminals that use sophisticated tools for their activities. They are tactical, intelligent, and skilled to handle equipments.  

  • The Armed Forces: The armed forces include the Army, Navy, and Airforce. The United States of America armed forces are respected throughout the globe for their painstaking effort to secure their territory and even extending their services to other countries. Te armed forces protect the country from any external aggression and treat even to the extent of engaging in a war that could claim their lives. 

After discussing expressly some security agencies, I will be discussing the roles and job descriptions of Security inspectors in the subsequent paragraph. It should be noted that all security agencies have an Inspector that directly monitors their activities. 

Security Inspector Job Description:

In this paragraph, I will like to talk about some of the duties and roles of a Security Inspector.

  • A security Inspector is almost committed to inspecting and coordinating security agents’ duties in his/her domain.
  • He/She is directly or indirectly responsible for the lives and properties in his/her domain. 
  • He/She ensures that all security agent performs their security duties according to the laid down rules and regulation.
  • He/She also provides a solution to any tactical security problems within his/her domain.
  • He/She must assist the securities in solving difficult problems. 
  • He/she sanctions and discipline any security agent acting against the conduct guiding the profession. 

Requirements, Skills And Qualification For A Security Inspector:

A security Inspector has a very sensitive role as it relates to lives and properties.  Only a qualified individual in the field of security can be a security Inspector. A security Inspector must possess the following attributes.

  • He/She must be educated and possess a relevant certificate in any course related to security. 
  • He/She must have undergone tactical and combative training with any security agents, including training on how to use equipments and physical combat. 
  • He/She must be intelligent and smart. 
  • He/She must have undergone tactical courses on security and safety of lives and property. Such courses will be helpful on the field while solving tactical problems.
  • He/ She must have a field experience of more than 10years. During those years of experience, he/she must be involved in various missions involving the security of lives and property. 
  • He/She must have a clean record in the society and country at large and has never involved in any criminal case. Such an individual must not be jailed for any criminal offense. 
  • He/She must have sworn an oath of allegiance to the country or the establishment that hires him/her. 
  • He/She must be honest and well behaved that is he/she must be truthful at all times. 
  • He/She must possess good communication skills and have good and strong interpersonal relationships among his/her teammates.
  • He/She must have a good team spirit that is able to cooperate and work with others without any problem or superiority complex. 
  • He/She must be proactive, that is, the ability to predict or foresee a security threat to his/her domain.
  • He/She must have the ability to solve problems within a short period of time. 
  • He/She must have the ability to deal with stress and pressure while giving attention to relevant and important matters. 
  • He/She must be well informed and have a deeper knowledge of what is going on in the community especially those that relate to security treat.
  • He/She must have a good memory and the ability to recall past events within a limited number of time.  

Salary Structure Of A Security Inspector:

The salary of a Security Inspector is a factor of the unit and type of security agent he/she is working with. It also depends on other factors like the nature of the Security agent in which he/she is officiating, the years of experience of the security Inspector, the nature and financial capabilities of the company that hires the security Inspector, and also the level of experience and education of the security supervisor. The salary structure may be weekly, monthly, or on a contract basis. It can also be said that a Security Inspector’s salary also depends on the economy of a country because a robust economy like the United States of America will likely spend more on security than an epileptic one. On average, A security Inspector receives approximately $200,000 to $300,000 per annum. Those working with the forces and national security tend to earn up to $400,000 per annum. On a contract basis, the wages are determined by negotiation and employer-to-employee relationship.
