Concession Worker Job Description:

Then a concession job is a right choice for you. As a concession worker, your job entails looking after the activities of your stall. The stall can be a food stall, game stall, etc. A concession worker’s job is a tedious one. It requires one to stand in the scorching heat for long hours. You will be required to look after your food item’s preparation, set up, delivery of your food item to the customer, and all the funds generated during this event. You are also required to handle your inventory and stock them for future use. And no matter the turmoil you face, you always have to greet your customers in a kind and friendly manner.

Of course, this job does not require you to work throughout the year. It is a seasonal job depending on the events held in a particular year. Concession Job Duties And Responsibilities:

There is a huge responsibility on your shoulders when you take up this job. Right from purchasing stock to collecting profit from your customers, you are responsible for everything. The following point enlists your duties as a concession worker.

• You have to greet guests who visit your stand or call them by their token number.
• Your next step will be to take your customers’ orders, tell them about the best seller of the day.
• Prepare the food items they have picked in the required amounts. If the customer has any specifications, make changes as asked by the customer.
• Maintain proper hygiene while preparing, packaging, and distributing the food item from the kitchen table to the customers’ table.
• Ensure cups, straws, plates are there in stock before opening your stall.
• Garnish all the food items and conduct a taste test of the sauce, fillings, etc.
• Give a token or beeper to your customer when they place their order and either call that number or buzz their beeper when the order is ready.
• You are in charge of all monetary transactions. Keep a correct tally of all the profit earned at the end of the day. Try to tender exact change to the customers.
• Keep contact with vendors, event managers to keep check of stock and supplies. If there is any deficiency in the store or setup, report to the concerned authorities and ensure your stock reaches the venue on time.
• After you are done with one event, clean up the entire area for the next event.
• Maintain accounts for the event, accounts of the vendor, and the event manager.
• Ensure that all your kitchen equipment is spick and span. Follow set guidelines for cleanliness. Use gloves while preparing and serving food.
