Amazon Air Getaway Team Member (AAGT):

– Manage PNRs (aircraft tickets) for customers who want to travel internationally or across state lines.

– Perform check-in coordination with the customer’s agent, coordinate customs procedures, ensure appropriate documentation has been submitted if required.

– Advise customers of necessary checks before departure and assist in any other way needed during travel.

– Assist agent in placing orders for airline tickets (Arrow Air, Alaska Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue.com, United Airlines).

– Act as agent for purchasing additional travel services (hotel reservations; car rental; taxi service; etc.).

– Coordinate with the customer’s agent to complete the necessary paperwork (coupons or vouchers) for air ticket purchase.

– Update the customer’s account with itinerary and other information.

– Assist in checking baggage upon arrival at the destination airport.

– Reconfirm passengers to the airline upon landing the aircraft.

– Verify and provide travel documents.

– Provide customers with passport and photo identification.

– Ensure correct baggage claim procedures are followed.

– Assist customers with customs procedures at the point of exit, exchange currency or medallions, etc.

– Update vacation reservation information such as hotels, resorts, cruises, and activities for customers who plan to travel during their time off from work.

– AMAZON AIR GETAWAY TEAM MEMBERS USE PC TO ENTER INFORMATION ON COMPUTERS. 

Position Requirements: AAGT will be required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time to complete work tasks. This position is a retail sales position and as such AAGT will be required to follow all safety regulations as outlined in the manual section on cash handling.

– Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required as well as the ability to solve mathematical problems accurately. In addition, AAGT must be able to follow instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

– Ability to follow oral and written instructions, use simple mathematical skills to compute, convert metric measurements, make minor repairs or adjustments on small equipment.

– Ability to work cleanly and efficiently in an office setting with limited supervision.

– Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time.

– Computer knowledge required. Must have the ability to type 60 words per minute. Must be able to enter information into a computer using data entry techniques including data entry into word processing software applications software programs which support the Transportation Management System (TMS) using an Internet browser solution, along with the ability to type 60 words per minute.

– Knowledge of air travel procedures is required. Must have knowledge of computerized airline ticketing procedures. Must have knowledge of travel agency procedures. – Ability to relate to people of all cultures, races, genders is required.

– Must be able to work in a team situation with diverse groups of people.
