Who owns quality control?

Underground Movement

It all began in the 1970s. An underground movement, also known as hip hop, has started to develop at the ruins of a post-industrial South Bronx, New York City. it was the place where hip was created. The genre hip hop has been defined by four elements, MCing/rapping, DJing/scratching, breakdancing and graffiti writing. Hip-hop music was a strong medium. It was used for protesting by youth for the impact of the legal institution on Black and Hispanic minorities, specifically police and prisons. In this article, we will discuss about who owns quality control over here.

An artist name Clive “Kool Herc” Campbell was a Jamaican- born DJ who happens to be the first person to create DJ songs in hip hop music by using percussion instruments. He was the first artist to bring the Jamaican sound system to the United States. It started at Herc’s apartment, which is located in Sedgwick Avenue later. It was the movement that spread around the borough.

Later on in the year 1973, Hool Herc was a DJ and hosted a party at his sister’s school party. He extended the music by using his guitar amp and two turntables. He named his dancers “break-boys” and “break-girls” also known as “b-boys” and “b-girls”. Breakdancing, a style of dancing that has included gymnastic movements, head spins and backspins. His creation of “breaking” was street slang for “being excited”.

The second musical key in hip hop music is MCing, also known as rapping. The role’s origin was a Master of Ceremonies for a DJ dance event organized for the block party in the neighborhood. The MCing is to introduce the DJ and to create the excitement vibed for the audience. The words are spoken during the DJ’s songs to motivate the people to dance. By then, in the year 1979, hip hop music has become the mainstream genre.

Although it was the music that was the top priority, they will make sure the music is good because they will know how can they have come up with the marketing strategies, an advertisement for world tours, merchandise and endorsements to sell it as a product to the audience.

Goals

Coach K had a goal in mind while signing the record, wanted the music to be very authentic by the artists from the streets or an artist like Yachty. The label wanted to create and build the brand. They want to write stories authentically, put them in the music and sell it to the audiences. Not only do they want the music to be raw, but the Quality Control company also wants the artists to be noticed by the public, to be seen by not having to depend so much on just the music.
