I have formerly worked as a food delivery guy at Uber Eats for two years. This opportunity has equipped me with skills such as self-control and swift acting, which I believe are important for this position to accomplish your promise to your customers to be fast and convenient. As a food delivery guy, you have to act fast since many people usually order food to enjoy at that moment, and any delay may cause the food to either cool down or lose its original taste. Additionally, making a food delivery is not as easy as it looks because most of the time, you are working on an empty stomach, and the smell of food is tempting. Still, you have to learn to push away the urge to spend money buying that food, which is where self-control comes in. Other than that, I have also managed to learn how to engage and interact effectively and professionally with customers, having dealt with people of all ages and backgrounds in my experience. This should assure you that given a chance, I will handle all customers accordingly to provide the best customer service I can.
One of my strengths is working with precision, and I have demonstrated this in how I perform all my tasks promptly and as instructed. I learned about this at first when I was working in the local post office, and my boss happened to recognize me during our weekly meetings, and he would urge others to emulate me because I would always act immediately when assigned a task and seek clarification in case I needed it. When I was working for UberEats, this trait was also pointed out in me, and I was given more tasks to handle on many occasions, and most of the time, when there was an emergency delivery needed, I was the best fit. Therefore, you can be sure that if you give the chance to work with you, your customers will enjoy the benefits of quick and reliable deliveries of mail and parcels. Effective communication, which I believe is crucial for the position you are hiring, is also a skill I had developed over the years since university when I first started understanding how to communicate with different people and the importance of communicating with everyone uniquely are all different. Not only have I done communications in school theory, but I also practiced it in many situations. Communication is a skill that gets better with time and practice, and you can only get better when you interact with more people and a variety of people. Having worked in places that require me to engage one-on-one with different people, I believe that my communication skills have greatly improved and will continue.
