What Is Feening?

Feening

Feening is the strong craving for something. It could be for a substance or sometimes even for a person. People often get attached to something they hold dear and overtime it gets to the harmful extent where they fear being detached from it. The compulsion to get that thing is extremely strong and may lead the person to do things they wouldn’t usually do.

The strong pull towards the object, whether living or non-living, is known as feening. This is highly seen in the cases of substance abuse where there is a highly toxic level of dependency on harmful items.

Few examples where feening can describe the situation at hand are:-

  1. To describe those belonging to the community or in the case of smokers.
  2. The craving for a person after breaking off of a relationship- friend, family, or a significant other.
  3. Attachment to certain food items like pizza or tea.
  4. To describe the individuals who only aim for success and cannot digest failures. They feen for perfection.

There is another definition of the word ‘feen’- it is used to describe a demonic entity popularly known as a fiend.

It is also known as a description of a man which is not to be confused with the descriptions given above. Depending on the context of the statement and the origin of the speaker it can be perceived accurately.
