How is the payment of PUA done?

Once you are qualified to receive the benefits offered, PUA compensates its employees on a weekly basis. The company cross-checks the amount before depositing it. The procedure of depositing PUA takes around a week. After that, they transmit it to the UG service and make a direct transfer into your account. After receiving the required information on the bank details, UG services deposit the money into your account within one or two days. Every Friday, the filer receives the deposit card within two days if they follow the three business-day rule. It usually takes one week to complete all of these steps.

The eligibility criterion for receiving PUA

You may be required to pay back PUA in certain cases. If you fail to submit your documents within the required deadline, you may run into issues and put the PUA at a severe disadvantage. Every organization has a process in place to reclaim the overpayment.

  • How can I recover my password or username?

The email address that you used while filing your PUA claim is the username of your account. If you need help recovering your password, then select forgot password from the ‘sign-in page. You will receive instructions that you are required to follow to reset your password on the email you provide while filing a claim.

You can also access the PUAs online form to recover your password in case you forget the answers to security questions or if you are unable to log in to your account. Submit a message on the PUA’s online form to do so. 

After you successfully fill out the first page of the form, select ‘Next’. If you are interested in resetting your password, click ‘Trouble Creating an Account (Password Reset)’. You will then receive instructions on how you can reset your password and/or security questions after they review your request.

  • I asked for PUA, but it was turned down. What should I do?

If your application for PUA benefits was denied or if you were disqualified from receiving benefits while applying, especially if you received any 1099 wages, it is advisable that you file an appeal. Contact the relevant state agency for more details.
