A Case Manager is more of a nurse or, say, a counterpart of a nurse.   • You have to admit patients depending on their medical history, the urgency of the case, and the medical or psychological condition the patient is suffering from.

  • You have to prepare treatment plans in accordance with what you have ascertained. You will also have to prepare a schedule for the patient in case the need be.

  • You will have to constantly monitor the patients’ progress over a period of time and change the medication and treatment accordingly. 

  • You should report to your supervisor all that you have recorded at the end of the day.

  • You must communicate the client’s progress to the family members, doctors, therapists, etc.

  • You should have a Research & Development department to increase your staff members’ efficiency and develop ideas to improve the productivity of the environment you are working in.

  • You will have to prepare the treatment plan in accordance with the budget given by the family members or client and implement cost-effective ways for the patient’s treatment if needed.

  • You should refresh your knowledge with the current happenings and trends in your profession.

  • You will have to coordinate with various departments and guide them if need be.

  • You should be able to work in stressful situations.

  • You should ensure the wellness of the patient at all times.
