Movies cannot go on for long hours and hence have to remove or improvise some parts which are mostly done with the consent and authority of the author. The books on the other hand provide us with every detail and have a lot of ideas in them which help have a flow of imagination to all the readers out there. The story revolves around 2 Dalmatians who have to save their newborn puppies. Though the book is written during the 1950s it can still be read by children even today. 

Adaptation of the book

  1. In the coming years, Disney adapted this novel and made it into an animated movie called One Hundred and One Dalmatians. This movie was released on 25th January 1961 in the cinemas.
  2. The movie turned out to be a great success and became the tenth highest-grossing film of 1961. It also managed to become one of the most popular films of this studio and the decade. 
  3. This film was reissued into cinemas in the years 1969, 1979, 1985, and 1991.
