Everybody has heard of Google. Google is who you go to when you need to find answers for almost anything. It is a Multinational Technology company that provides us with internet-associated services. These services include cloud computing, advertising, and search engine. Google was founded on September 4, 1998, in California by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were studying at Stanford University which now serves worldwide. Google is now worth a whopping 131.13 billion dollars with over 139,995 employees. Not a lot of people know this but Google is actually a subsidiary of Alphabet. When we say a person is an executive it means that the person is in charge of governing a certain organization of people. They have various duties to perform some of which are to maximize the value of their organization, to make decisions that are good for the organization, and to impart policies over their staff. Sundar Pichai is an Indian-American, who is the current chief executive officer of Alphabet and its subsidiary Google. Pichai was born in madras Indian 10 June 1972 and earned his degree from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. Further, he went on to pursue a master’s in materials science and engineering at Stanford and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His career started as a materials engineer but ended soon enough after he joined google in 2004 to lead product management. He supervised products and services of Google such as Gmail, google maps, and google chrome. He was selected to be the next Google CEO on August 10, 2015. He was voted in times magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” in 2016.  Sundar Pichai is now worth 600 million dollars!

Larry Page was born on March 26, 1973. He is an American business magnate, entrepreneur, and computer scientist. Everyone knows him as one of the co-founders of Google along with Sergey Brin (who we’ll discuss later). Page was also the chief executive officer of google from 1997 to 2001. Since his childhood Page was mostly bombarded with computers and technology magazines which helped him build interest in computer science, his father too was a computer professor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in the same from Stanford University.  He is now worth $120.7 billion.

Sergey Brin is also an American business magnate, entrepreneur, and computer scientist who co-founded Google with Larry Page. Brin was initially the president of Alphabet Inc. until he stepped down from the role on December 3, 2019. As co-founders Brin and Page control shareholders, board members, and employees of Google. Sergey Brin was born on August 21, 1973, whose estimated net worth is now $115.2 billion winning him the title of 7th richest man in the world. He did his bachelor’s at the University of Maryland, College Park, and went on to earn a Ph.D. at Stanford which is where he met Page. Brin and Page began developing a web search engine that gained a lot of attention at Stanford. Soon the two dropped their studies and worked on starting Google

Ruth Porat has been the chief financial officer for Alphabet Inc. And its subsidiary Google since 2015. Born in 1985 Porat gas has been listed as the 16th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes in 2020 and 7th the most powerful woman on Fortune. She received her bachelor’s of art degree in economics and international relations from Stanford University and earned her master’s degree in industrial relations from the London School of Economics. She also has an MBA degree from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before she became the CFO of Google she worked as vice-chairman for investment banking. On March 24, 2015, she joined Google and is now worth $180 million.

Eric Schmidt was born on April 27, 1955, and has worked in various positions at Google. Firstly, from 2001-2011, he was the CEO of Google, then he became the executive chairman of Google from 2011 to 2015 then he became the executive chairman of the parent Alphabet from 2015-2017, and lastly from 2017-2020, he was the technical advisor at Alphabet. Schmidt earned a bachelor’s of engineering degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University and in 1979 earned his M.S degree for designing and implementing networks at the University of California, Berkeley. From the same university, he also earned his Ph.D.  He was ranked first as the 50 most important people on the web by PC world. He is now worth 26.8 billion dollars.

Susan Wojcicki is an American-Polish business executive who is the chief executive officer of YouTube. She was born on July 5, 1968, and has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. Susan pursued history and literature at Harvard University and received her master’s at the University of California in economics. She was hired in 1999  as the first marketing manager at Google after which she became senior vice president of Advertising and Commerce. This meant that she looked over the company’s advertising. Wojcicki’s net worth is an estimated 815 million dollars.

  1. Lorrain Twohill

Lorrain Twohill is an Irish marketer who is now the chief marketing officer (CMO) of Google Twohill graduated with a two-joint honors degree in International Marketing and Languages from Dublin City University. In 2003 she was hired as the first marketer who stayed outside the US. Lorrain Twohill is now worth 7.22 million dollars.

Thomas Kurian was born in 1966 in Kerala, India who is now the chief executive officer of Google Cloud. Before that, he was a senior executive at Oracle Corporation. Kurian graduated from Princeton with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He started his career at Mckinsey and Stanford as a consultant during which he studied MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Kurian joined Google cloud in November of 2018. Thomas Kurian is estimated to be worth $30.9 million.

Urs  Hölzle is a Swiss software engineer and technology executive who now works as the senior vice president of technical infrastructure and Google Fellow at Google. He is responsible got Google’s development process and infrastructure. Urs earned his master’s degree in computer science from ETH Zurich and his Ph.D. from Stanford University. He became the first vice president of engineering at Google when he joined in 1999. He was responsible for Google’s corporate and engineering culture. Urs brought culture to Google, he did this by bringing his pet dog to work every once in a while which led to Google declaring itself as a “dog company”. Urs Hölzle is now worth 2 million dollars.

  1. Prabhakar Raghavan

Prabhakar Raghavan was born on November 25, 1960, who is now a Senior Vice President at Google. He is responsible for Google search, Assistant, Geo, Commerce, and Payments. Prabhakar earned his bachelor’s from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He received his master’s degree from Presidency College, Chennai. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in electrical engineering and computer science. Before working at google Prabhakar worked for Yahoo!. Prabhakar Raghavan is now worth 20.9 million dollars.
