How did I Become a Founder, SEO Expert, and Marketing Specialist?

Five years ago, I started a revolution in the SEO services market in my country. I needed countless hours of work, countless pro bono and paid projects (> 140), successful hires, and learned lessons, many clients who loved and appreciated us at fair value. That is how we grew as a team of experts. We have become a trusted partner for businesses that want online visibility.

Questions & Answers:

How was your University time?

I filled all my university time with various fascinating events. Even though I was studying accounting, I became involved in many volunteer projects, flash mobs. Together with my colleagues, we were present at events where our teachers met. They were also our mentors, according to our chosen objects. Together we organized various journeys in accounting, economics, and other exciting subjects. It was a fascinating time for me, but I quit this field. I found myself in digital marketing.

Why did you choose a career in this field?

I chose a career in this field because marketing is my vocation. I’m incredibly passionate about neuromarketing and advertising. Four years ago, my priority goal was to change the overall perception of SEO services in the Republic of Moldova through services provided by SEOLITTE. Knowing that it was and still is a relatively new field in my country, I analyzed its perspectives. I understood that it is my responsibility to bring value to businesses and help them grow organically online.

What was your first job or nuggets from jobs you had that helped you get to where you are today?

The first job in this field was fascinating because I was just getting started in online marketing. I read many specialized books, listened to and attended courses, and developed multilaterally. I consumed everything related to digital marketing. In my first job in SEO, I learned a few critical things:

  • You have to stick to your values.
  • You always have to learn new things and have an open mind towards challenges.
  • You still have to keep up with the trends online.
  • You have to organize your time in such a way as to show maximum efficiency. Every minute is essential.
  • Success is assured by the people with who you get involved with.

How did you prepare for an interview?

I just tried to evaluate my whole experience in this field and tried to be honest with myself. It is fascinating to list all my challenges, along with my successes.

What are some books that helped you?

These are three books that help me to see the marketing and entrepreneurship realities at work:

  • The Ultimate Sales Machine: Turbocharge Your Business with Relentless Focus on 12 Key Strategies by Chet Holmes
  • Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World by Cal Newport
  • Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make Competition Irrelevant by W. Chan Kim & Renee Mauborgne

Things are changing very fast in the industry; how do you keep yourself updated. Please list techniques or newsletters, podcasts, events, etc.

I keep myself updated with some interesting global sources such as:

  • Backlinko blog.
  • MOZ Blog
  • Search Engine Journal website.

They have very informative newsletters with all updates in this field.

Also, I watched some great YouTube Channels like:

  • Neil Patel YouTube Channel
  • Brian Dean YouTube Channel.

What can you recommend on a CV?

Before completing your CV, try some courses to make your CV more attractive to your future employers. After that, write it as honestly as possible. That will help you get the job you wish.

Advice for someone looking for a job?

  • Look ONLY for what he/she is passionate about. You have to deeply love your chosen profession and make maximum effort to get the best results.
  • Be as respectful as possible to potential employers.
  • Answer questions as honestly as possible, and do not be afraid of any refusals.
  • Professional achievement and passion are the things that young specialists should always aim for.

Why do you think you were selected amongst the other candidates?

Because of my multilateral personality, I consider myself a creative person; I love both big and small data, classical marketing, all along with my love for storytelling. Because I am passionate about my field, I found my vocation in SEO.  I work perseveringly, dynamically, and conscientiously. My only purpose is to feel accomplished at the end of the day, which brings me tangible results. The most crucial thing in marketing is to try everything new, unique, continually seek progress, and be persevering, stubborn to get results.

Lessons from jobs that you couldn’t get

  • You can’t apply for a job you’re not passionate about. You certainly won’t learn a lot of new things every day.
  • Before applying for a job that you dreamed of, talk to a former or current employee. Please find out the story from his or her perspective.
  • Probably, at some point in your life, you will receive many rejections. Still, the time will come when those employers will look for you and need your experience in an area where they have ruined it.
