Is Nvidia a Good Company to Work for?

Introduction

Nvidia Corporation is an American multinational technology company that was established in 1993 by Ensen Huang, Chris Malachowsky, and Curtis Priem with the vision that computers would one day be a staple in every household for gaming and multimedia. Today Nvidia has grown from a company supplying chips to computer companies to a giant platform for cloud computing, multimedia, robotics, AI, supercomputers, transport, and scope for other future endeavors that will revolutionize the manufacturing industry. In light of the technological advancements seen in the past few decades, the company is bound to make grand leaps in all sectors in existence or its infancy.

Of late, Multinational Corporations have been getting negative press coverage due to their employees receiving poor treatment at the workplace. At times, these companies ignore the human aspect of their employees and take advantage of their labor and overwork them or provide inadequate workplace amenities. They operate behind the banner of egalitarian work ethic while switching the tone behind the curtains. To have a well-rounded company, all factors that make the wheels go round must be considered. In the long run, exploitation will not stand hence employee happiness and satisfaction are very important.

Nvidia claims that its employees solve the world’s hardest problems and endeavor to enhance the quality of life. They are involved in almost every sector from healthcare to movie production while every day new opportunities arise for Nvidia to get involved in. They claim to offer an experience different from the rest by “doing what has never been done”. Their work culture is fast-paced and invokes imagination and creativity among its employees. According to one employee working under Autonomous Driving Software, she states that shortly after she started working at Nvidia, she soon realized that “there are opportunities here (Nvidia) to do something that you would not normally do in a typical day to day job description”. She also goes on to state that there is an environment of respect where everyone can be open with one another and express ideas freely.
