Does OW Give Christmas Bonuses?

Dependent people who are not financially strong can enjoy the Christmas Bonus as an extra payment from Social Welfare Organizations. Does Ow give Christmas bonuses or not will be answered in this article.

Ontario Works does not give Christmas bonuses to eligible people for its financial help service. However, Ontario Works ensures that they make the monthly payment for January to deserving candidates in December, a week before Christmas, so that they can enjoy their Christmas holidays. The monthly payment depends on the family type. For example, the payment given to singles will be different from a single parent with one child or two children. The payment varies for couple-based families, couples with one child, and couples with two children. The total amount may lie between $800 and $1500.

Why is the Christmas bonus not given?

Ontario Works do not give Christmas bonuses as they prefer payments earlier than the fixed dates during December. The precise reason behind this decision is unknown, but since it is the administration’s decision, it is to be followed.
